Cassie Boblitt

Middle School Athletics

Cassie is extremely active and has an extensive background in various sports and movement. She is a US Army Veteran and played on the championship women’s basketball team for the Army Europe league. After her military service she attended college at the Inter American University of Puerto Rico where she played multiple sports including basketball, softball, and volleyball. While living in Puerto Rico she played three seasons in a semiprofessional FIBA basketball league (La Liga Superior de baloncesto feminino) and had the opportunity to travel the island and learn the Spanish languageIn 2009 she returned to Kentucky to pursue an MBA at Bellarmine University. While in college she started coaching volleyball on a high school varsity level and joined the Kentucky Volleyball Academy as the Director of Sports Marketing. She currently owns her own business (Mindful Movement) that focuses on bringing positive movement, games, and outdoor experiences to children throughout our community. She really enjoys working with children and creating opportunities for them to be active, healthy, and happy. She has a love for all types of movement, enjoys the outdoors, and has a deep appreciation for yoga and meditation. She also enjoys being a mother to her daughter Emily who is a student here at Waldorf. Cassie has completed the Movement Intensive Training at the Waldorf School of Aurora and more recently the Outdoor Leadership Training with Sierra Club and is excited to bring her experience to our students as the games and athletics teacher and upper grades coach.
